Plano is not one distance. From the Garland yard, east and central — 75074, 75075, much of 75023 — sit inside or on the kind side of 15 miles. Willow Bend, Legacy West, the campuses off the Dallas North Tollway: the extra miles, if they exist, are a surcharge on those miles only. The city name on the water bill is not the bid.
HOAs treat dumpsters in driveways as a seasonal crisis. The workaround is a dump trailer that is gone before the evening walkers. Russell Creek and Deerfield load that way all year. Downtown Plano and Haggard Park are walkable, event-heavy, and tight on festival weekends. DART’s Red Line stops there. A townhome off 15th is not a week-long box during balloon-festival traffic.
School traffic is a Plano scheduling fact. Parker, Spring Creek, Park, Independence. If you sit next to a campus, say which one. Early morning before the drop-off line, or late morning after it, is how a trailer moves without becoming part of the problem.

FAQ
- How do I know my Plano bulky day?
- On the city’s bulky-waste page and collection map. Confirm there. Do not copy a neighbor’s curb.
- When is the city the wrong tool?
- Mixed garage. Closing date. Fridge still charged. HOA that will not tolerate a week of curb furniture. Contractor debris. That is a crew. Jolly Goat Junk is listed on this page.
- Is West Plano extra?
- It can be. 75024 and 75093 often sit on or past the 15-mile line from the Garland yard. The pin decides. Miles, if any, show before the window is booked.
- Will a Plano HOA allow the trailer?
- Short-term loading is usually fine. Overnight dumpsters are what trigger letters. Mention gate codes and visitor parking with the request.
